Since 1997, the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dance Artists (SBMTD) and Classic FM radio have been awarding the “Crystal Lyre” prizes annually for pronounced achievements in music and dance performing art. Among the categories, in which deserving representatives of the music and dance performing arts are nominated, there is also the category “Music criticism and journalism”. This year the first position in it is offered to the host and author of the TV1 culture show “En Face” Olga Buzina.
The show has been on the air for 12 years now, and recently welcomed its 300th guest! Individuals from all spheres of Bulgarian culture and contemporary musical art, from all generations, are welcome to show their talent in the studio – both our artists recognised and applauded all over the world, as well as the young ones, but clearly declaring their presence with awards from talent competitions. In a casual conversation with Olga, (who is a long-time journalist in the field of cultural topics – she worked for the “Democracy” newspaper, in the “Culture” editorial office of BNT and since 2008 she has been the program director of TV1), they reveal their creative stories and achievements.
