Champions League and TV1 Broadcast Company
On February the 23rd TV1 Broadcast Company took part in the filming of the disputed match between Atletico Madrid and Chelsea in Bucharest, Romania. The match was part of the Champions League. It was played in Romania instead of Spain due to the restrictions imposed on the COVID-19 pandemic.
The game was highly contested, with the first and only goal being scored by Olivier Giroud with a spectacular overhead kick. The incredible goal not only brought the win to the visiting Chelsea, but also made them a contender for a place in the quarterfinals. Initially, the referees did not accept the goal due to offside, but after reviewing the video, it was established that the ball actually bounced off Atletico Madrid defender Mario Hermoso. So the goal was accepted.
Our participation in the production was in two shooting days with SNG, and 2 NGS boxes were included in the standard redundancy configuration. We broadcasted at 36MHz on Eutelsat 7B.
